The Journey of Discovery is a collaboration between entrepreneurs, social activists, thought leaders, business and life coaches, and a handful or non-profit organizations. Each member of the leadership team brings passion and expertise to create a maximized experience and social impact on every Journey of Discovery. Here are some team highlights:
Ed Kang (@edkang99)
Ed Kang went on his first journey to Nicaragua in April 2009. As a co-founder of the Journey of Discovery, he is an executive director for the Goliath Group of Companies. Ed is also the author of the book Re:LIFE & The Myth of Motivation. He regularly speaks and leads local mentorship groups of individuals who wish to find their personal purpose and passions while making a social impact in the world.
Steve Casey
Steve Casey is a co-founder of The Journey of Discovery and the owner/director of the Goliath Group of Companies (www.goliathgroup.ca) which is a conglomerate of corporations, social businesses and non-profits that believe in “transforming the business of business.” Steve’s first journeys were in 2009 to India and the Philippines. As a businessman and philanthropist, Steve believes in sustainable impact through acts of compassion, financial generosity and strategic implementation on all levels.
Sandy Hum
Sandy is the Administrative Director for the Goliath Group of Companies. Sandy began participating in her first JOD in 2010. She has been hooked ever since and now plays an integral support role before, during and after every Journey.
Diane Gaska
Diane is the Accounting Director for the Goliath Group of Companies. She too experienced her first JOD in 2010. She now ensures the financial integrity of every JOD working with donors and managing funds during every journey.
